Course Description

The course entails studies on the interactions between physical, chemical and biological components of the Earth’s natural environment and the Various activities which include energy, agriculture, water and air. We all have heard, seen and experienced the increased effects of climate change in the past decade amidst the strive to achieve the Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Environmental Science Technologists are equipped with knowledge and skills to work in industries, institutions and community in tackling environmental degradation, various forms of pollution, deforestation and in solid waste management. The Technologists closely works in various public and private sectors such as water and sanitation companies, manufacturing sector, renewable energy, Environment, Water and Forestry departments in county governments as well as with agencies involved in undertaking Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Audit (EIA/EA).
